Fossil  help us learn about ancient life. There are two types of fossil: fossil remains and fossil traces. Fossil remain are the actual body parts of an animal, such as bones, teeth or skulls.

Fossil traces, on the other hand, are things like footprings, dung or leaf impressions, that is idirect evidenc of prehistoric life. One thing all fossils have incommon is that they are old, very

A long time until finally, the flesh rotted away. The dinosaur´s skeleton remained buried under layers of mud and the minerals from the mud when into the bones.
